These soft plastic flexible caps are made for high temp painting..... but I have used them also for crafts and they are GREAT for covering outside utility cord plugs to keep them from getting wet in rain or snow.  I cut a tiny hole in each end of the round ball end and a slit down the side, then I slide the cord inside and connect the plugs inside.  The caps are very flexible so I can put 2 together and tape with duct tape and no water or snow gets inside.
These can be used for all sorts of crafts and household uses too.
